In September, Space to Breathe took the exciting step of moving into the co-working spaces at the Abbeydale Picture House.
If you’ve never been to the venue it really is something to take in. An iconic 20’s Picture House on the road to being restored to its former glory by the brilliant CADS Sheffield.
Space to Breathe is excited to make home there and we’ve wanted to bring something of our Wellbeing-vibe to what goes on there.
With that in mind we’re pleased to announce that our Work:Space Pop Up will be being hosted at the Picture House on three trial dates in December and January. These days will be similar to the Work:Space events we’ve run previously but will have a Cafe-vibe too which is exciting.
Work:Space is aimed at social entrepreneurs, sole traders, new businesses, community groups and creatives who often work in isolation (on kitchen tables or bedroom offices.) We want to offer a simple pop-up space to bring people together and to see what happens.
Our previous events have been fun, chilled and often resulted in creative conversations between people who’ve never connected before.
Work:Space at Abbeydale Picture House will run from 9am to 4pm and provide a space to work, be in proximity to others, hold a meeting and be inspired.
They’ll also be a short lunchtime meditation (1pm) that you can join in with or completely ignore, whatever works best for you.
The cafe area has Unlimited free wifi.
They’ll be simple cafe food available for a small price, but if you’d rather you can sign up for a Work:Space Trial subscription for £10 to cover these three sessions. If you subscribe you’ll get free coffee and cake throughout these three days and a few extra goodies. You’ll also be able to connect to a simple network of entrepreneurs, sole traders and people making change in our region.
As we move forward, we are hoping (if successful) Work:Space will run weekly with a simple subscription system available. Watch this space for more info.
